Streptococcus pyogenes (Strep A) is a worldwide cause of morbidity and mortality, and there is a hypothesis that Strep A vaccines are substantially undervalued. The editors gathered articles focussing on innovative ways to assess the value of vaccination. The approaches outlined in this collection should also be useful for the assessment of the value proposition for other vaccines.
